Emergency Plumbing — 24 Hours a Day

A real person answers, not a service. Tell us what’s happening and we’ll tell you honestly whether it needs someone tonight or can wait until morning. We don’t apply an emergency rate to something that isn’t one.

Call right away for:

  • Water actively leaking or flooding
  • Sewage backing up into the house
  • No water at all
  • A water heater leaking from the tank
  • A gas smell near a water heater or gas line — leave the house first, call the gas company, then call us

Drains & Sewer Lines

The most common calls we get, and the ones where diagnosis matters most. A drain that keeps clogging isn’t a clog problem — it’s a symptom of something structural.

Kitchen sinks, showers, tubs, toilets, laundry, and main lines. We clear the blockage and then tell you why it happened, because a drain that backs up twice a year has a cause worth finding. In older North Texas homes that’s usually scale on cast iron or roots at a clay joint.

Hydro jetter equipment

High-pressure water that scours the full interior wall of the pipe rather than punching a hole through the blockage. The right tool when grease has coated a line or roots are involved. On badly deteriorated older pipe we scope first — jetting an unknown sixty-year-old line is a risk we won’t take with your plumbing.

A camera on a flexible reel run down your line, with you watching the screen. It shows cracks, root intrusion, scale, separated joints, and bellies — the low spots where water pools instead of draining. Worth doing before you agree to any sewer replacement, and before buying an older home.

Several drains slow at once, sewage smell in the yard, or backups that keep returning. We camera the line before quoting, because roots in sound pipe, a single cracked section, and a line at the end of its life are three very different repairs at three very different prices.

Leaks & Water Lines

Most of what we find here was invisible until the water bill arrived. The job is locating it precisely before anything gets opened up.

Acoustic listening equipment and pressure testing to pinpoint a leak within inches — under a slab, behind a wall, or out in the yard. Finding it accurately is what keeps the repair small. A leak that’s guessed at becomes a much bigger hole in your floor.

A pressure test that confirms whether your drain system is holding water or losing it somewhere underground. Commonly required before a foundation repair, during a home purchase, or when there’s evidence of a leak but no obvious source.

Low pressure across the whole house, rusty water first thing in the morning, or a patch of lawn that never dries. In older homes this is often galvanized steel that has corroded closed from the inside — there’s nothing to clean, and the fix is replacing the affected runs.

Water Heaters

Brand new water heater after installation

No hot water, not enough of it, rusty water, popping and rumbling, or moisture around the base. A tank lasts eight to twelve years, and North Texas hard water pushes that toward the low end. We’ll tell you honestly whether yours is a repair or a replacement, including when the repair is the cheaper answer.

Brand new tankless water heater after installation.

Error codes, scale buildup, descaling, and new installations. If you’re converting from a tank, ask every quote whether the gas line upgrade is included — a tankless unit needs roughly four to five times the gas flow, and most existing lines are undersized. That’s usually the difference between two very different prices.

The room with the most water, the most heat, and the most that gets put down a drain that shouldn’t be.

Garbage disposal and kitchen sink drain

Humming without turning, jammed, leaking from the base, or draining slowly. Disposals grind rather than dissolve, so what goes in still has to travel the length of the line — which is why grease and fibrous scraps cause trouble further downstream.

Supply lines, drain connections, and shut-off valves for appliances. These connections account for a surprising share of household water damage, particularly the ice maker line running behind a refrigerator nobody moves.

Kitchen sink and faucet

Dripping faucets, low flow, leaks under the cabinet, and new fixture installation. Hard water wears out cartridges faster here than in most parts of the country, so a dripping faucet is frequently an inexpensive part rather than a replacement.

Slow drains, drips, leaks in the cabinet, and fixture replacement. A bathroom that smells of sewage usually has a dry P-trap rather than a plumbing fault — run the tap for a minute and see whether it clears.

Weak pressure, dripping valves, slow drains, and new installations. A shower that’s lost pressure is often a clogged head or cartridge rather than anything in the walls, which is worth checking before anyone opens tile.

Repaired toilet in a bathroom

Running constantly, flushing weakly, rocking, or leaking at the base. A toilet that runs is usually a worn flapper — a cheap part that can waste hundreds of gallons a day silently. Leaking at the base is a different matter and worth attention sooner.

Water Quality & Maintenance

Softening and filtration. North Texas water is hard enough to scale a water heater, cloud your glassware, and shorten the life of every valve and cartridge in the house. Hardness varies noticeably between cities depending on which district supplies them, so sizing should follow a test rather than an average.

Plumber working on pipes under a sink.

Scheduled service that catches things before they become emergencies — water heater flushing, drain jetting on lines with a history, camera inspection of known problem areas, and fixture checks. A planned visit costs considerably less than a call-out on a holiday weekend.

How We Work

We diagnose before we quote. On an older line that means a camera. On a suspected leak it means locating it acoustically. You should never be asked to authorise work based on a description of something you haven’t seen.

You get the full price in writing before we start. It doesn’t change partway through.

We price the job, not the hour. If a repair turns out harder than expected, that’s our problem rather than your invoice.

You can say no. Decline the work and you pay the service call, nothing more.

We pull the permit. When a job needs one, we handle it and schedule the inspection. You don’t deal with the city.

We clean up. Shoe covers on, mess gone, and we walk you through what we did before we leave.

Residential Plumbing FAQs

Are you licensed and insured?

Yes. Every job runs under Texas Master Plumber license M-46550, held by owner Matthew Wise, and we carry insurance. We’re also a registered contractor with several North Texas cities, which some of them require before a permit can even be submitted.

We charge a service fee to come out and diagnose the problem properly, because an accurate diagnosis usually requires equipment rather than a look. You get the full repair price before any work begins, and if you decide against it, the service fee is all you pay.

Most days, yes. Call and we’ll give you a real window for your address rather than a guess, and you’ll get a call if we’re running behind.

Yes, when the work requires one — water heaters, repipes, sewer and water line work, and gas work generally do. We pull it and schedule the inspection as part of the job.

Standard payment methods, and financing is available for larger repairs like a sewer replacement, a repipe, or a water heater. It’s worth asking about before you decide how to proceed rather than after.

Both. That ranges from replacing a faucet cartridge to installing a tankless water heater or repiping a house. On anything sizeable you’ll get options priced rather than a single number.

That’s what the diagnosis is for, and it’s the question we get most. Age, material, and what the camera or the test actually shows all factor in. We’ll tell you when the cheaper option is the right one — a thermostat on a seven-year-old water heater is a repair, not a replacement.

Yes. Restaurants, offices, retail, and multi-family, with work scheduled around your operating hours where possible. See our commercial plumbing services.
